A Coffee Table The product that I created was a coffee table in the style of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and Japanese art. I used the programme ProEngineer to make my design that I had previously sketched out to make sure that I could make my design before I even attempted to create it. Because of this, it allowed me to make all of the mistakes on the programme in hyperspace and therefore would enable me to get my design right the first time with no errors. Also by designing the product in ProEngineer it allowed me to save valuable time and materials.
Due to all of these factors I was able to produce a high quality image of my design in standard with no rendered image and in photo rendered final design which both enabled me to view the actual product before I had even made it. The designs on ProEngineer also allowed me to have full and accurate measurements that I could rely on when making the product in the workshop.
Once I had fully completed the design on the ProEngineer I was then able to use the drawing files that had all of the measurements on it to help me create my 2D design files that I would need and then cut out on the laser. |
