Table Lamp
The product that I decided to make was a table lamp in the design and style of Charles Rennie Mackintosh and the styles which influenced him. I then used ProEngineer to develop my initial sketches to ensure that I would be able to make my design before I actually went into the workshop. This allowed me to pick out any flaws or errors and make any changes needed before the manufacturing of my design; this saved me valuable time and meant that I did not waste materials.
Using ProEngineer allowed me to create images of my design in a standard view and in a high quality photo rendered view as well. I was also able to produce accurate dimension drawings of all the pieces needed to make my design that I could rely on when producing the product. I was then able to use these drawings to create drawings to control the laser. |
